Olathe United Bison faced off against the Antioch Rangers on Wednesday night in a hard-fought match. The Bison got off to a shaky start, absorbing heavy pressure in the opening five minutes. However, they quickly found their rhythm and took control of the game, proving to be the better side throughout the first half.
Despite creating numerous chances, Olathe struggled to convert, hindered by a makeshift front line. The breakthrough finally came around the 35th minute, when a long throw-in from Braden Yows caused chaos in the box and fell to Cade Gassman, who smashed it into the net to give the Bison a 1-0 lead.
In the second half, Olathe United dominated possession but couldn’t add to their tally. The defense remained solid, limiting Antioch to very few opportunities. Braden Yows earned Man of the Match honors for a well-rounded performance that included the crucial assist on the game’s only goal.
